Kent Sheds was started in 2014 as a community-based non-commercial organisation open to all. The aim of the sheds is to improve the health and wellbeing of our members by providing a community space to converse, connect and create.
The activities are often based on, wood working, nature and plants but we are open to any hobby or craft that a member wants to try. At present we are predominantly a male organisation but we are open to women too. It provides friendship and comradery but most importantly, its fun.
The funding of the Kent Sheds is voluntary and no-one is compelled to pay anything. It is sponsored by the owner of Paddlesworth Court Farm who generously donates space and buildings to provide a permanent home.
Most of the material that is used by Kent Sheds is donated by businesses and individuals who have materials/tools/fixings that are surplus to requirements. You can find more about donating on this link ............
Kent Sheds have a wide range of tools and expertise that can be used to recycle, upcycle or renovate donated materials.
Recent projects .............recycling decking material to make planters for Cheriton High Street. Reusing timbers to make multiple picnic benches for local businesses and individuals. See project photos below.
No experience is necessary as we always have a number of members who are experts in their field and always happy to share their knowledge.
